William Edward Elliott

William Edward Elliott, better known as Bill Elliott, died on September 24, 2021. He was 79 years old. Bill was born in Chicago, Illinois, but spent most of his adult life in the beautiful Willamette Valley. Bill was a teacher for all of his life. Whether he was teaching at Western Baptist College, providing personal retirement counseling at PERS, or training lawyers on the new technology at DOJ, he was always encouraging others to learn new skills and information. When he was not teaching, he enjoyed the outdoors by going on numerous hikes and climbing many of the mountains in the Oregon Cascades. He enjoyed spending time with his family and volunteered many hours in support of his sons’ activities when they were young. Bill is survived by his wife Diane and his two sons David (Rebecca) and Michael (Heidi) and his granddaughter Emily. Celebration of Life will be held October 16, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Salem Riverfront Park, Rotary Pavilion.
