Ruth Esther Woolfe (Blair)

Ruth was born on January 28, 1920, in Edgemont, South Dakota. She married Lloyd C. Woolfe on April 13th, 1946 in Oregon City. Ruth graduated with a Bachelors degree from Oregon State University in 1945. She received her Masters from Oregon College Education in 1974. She was a special education teacher for Salem Public Schools retiring after 25 yrs of teaching. She was a member and secretary of the Audibon Society. Ruth enjoyed beach combing, birding, and traveling. Her most favorite thing, was to be at the coast, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed teaching children to read, when no one else could. She was kind, caring, understanding of people. She very much enjoyed helping others learn to be better people. She raised a wonderful family, and enjoyed traveling the world. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd C. Woolfe. She is survived by her son's; Rick, Van, Greg, Lynn. Grandchildren; Fauna, Alia, Kendra, Esje, Ryan, Andrew. Great Grandchildren; Lilly, Jack, Molley, Dorian, Parker, Mason. A Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m., Sat. Aug. 23, 2014 at Claggett Cemetery, Keizer, OR. Memorial Contributions may given in her memory to Salem Audibon Society.
