Robert Chase Goff ("Bob"),

Robert Chase Goff passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17,2026, at the age of 93. He was a resident of The Village at Keizer Ridge in Keizer, Oregon.

Bob was born on January 8, 1933, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Roby and Helen Goff. He earned his undergraduate degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and completed his graduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley. Bob devoted his professional life to the YMCA, beginning his career with YMCA Camp Silver Creek in Oregon. He later helped establish the growth of the YMCA in southern California and went on to serve as Executive Director of the Santa Barbara YMCA. He also served as Executive Director of the Association of YMCA Professional Directors (APD), concluding his distinguished career as Director of the YMCA Development Center for the YMCA of the USA located in the Chicago, Illinois area.

Bob was preceded in death by the love of his life and mother of his children, Patricia "Pat" Carol Harris Goff; a son, Robert Gerald Goff; his parents, Roby and Helen Goff; and his brothers, Richard (Sue) and Glen (Mary).

Bob is survived by the children from his 45-year marriage to Pat: Kristine (Michael), Katherine (Richard), Karoline (Jeff), and Robert (Rosemary); as well as eleven cherished grandchildren and spouses and eighteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Karolyn Goff; and her children, Dan (Terri), Nancy (Chris), and Tom (Jen), along with their children and grandchildren. Our family was deeply blessed by the loving care of Adriana Martinez who devoted much of her time to the care of our father and Kay for most of the last 5 years. We are forever grateful and will always know her as part of our family.

Bob will be remembered as a deeply genuine, loving, giving, and caring man whose life was firmly grounded in the two greatest commandments of our Lord: to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself. He epitomized these commandments daily and was the most grounded living example of selfless love.
