Natalie Placencio Rolf, 82, a resident of Keizer, OR entered eternal rest on August 23, 2021. She was surrounded by the love and support of her family when she passed. She was born on August 28, 1938, in Santa Rita, NM. Natalie was a graduate of Cobre High School in Bayard, NM, and a graduate of Western New Mexico University, in Silver City, NM, where she attained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She managed the finances of the family fishing business and worked as an account in Newport, OR.
Natalie was a long-time resident of Newport, OR. She was active in the community and volunteered for numerous organizations including Fishermen’s Wives, Lincoln County Amateur Radio Emergency Services and the local amateur radio club, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Natalie was loving, gentle, kind, and made the lives of others richer, brighter, and more serene. She loved being around family and friends and never forgot special days of those in her life. If she touched your life, you were instantly part of something better. Her family will feel the love and void of their mother, grandmother, sister, and friend forever.
She is survived by her daughter, Jolene and husband Dan Kelley of Keizer, OR; two grandsons, Brendan of Keizer, OR, and Riley of Dallas, OR; and a granddaughter, Brianna of Dallas, OR; two brothers, Ben Placencio and wife Mary, of Alamogordo, NM, and Nick Placencio, and wife Genevieve, of El Paso, TX; three sisters, Lupe Molina of Peoria, AZ, Maria Elena and husband Norbert Chagolla of Peoria, AZ, Socorro Placencio of Henderson, NV; and many nieces and nephews including Doris Marin and husband George of Phoenix, AZ, and Irene Shown and husband Ed of Port Angeles, WA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eustacio O. Placencio and Jacinta Chavez Placencio; her spouse Allan Rolf; one brother, Eustacio Placencio, Jr.; and four sisters Rufina Polanco, Rosenda Armendariz, Epifania Ybarra, and Lore Placencio.
The rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by the memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 5303 River Rd. N., Keizer, OR 97303 on September 2, 2021. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery in Newport, OR.
Natalie was very kind, caring, generous, and loved deeply. If you wish to remember her, do it with a kind deed or word to someone who needs you, then Natalie’s legacy will live on forever.
