Michael Lee Allender

September 9, 1961 — September 1, 2021

With sad hearts, the Allender Family announces that Michael Lee Allender has unexpectedly passed away at his home in Keizer, Oregon on August 31st. Mike was a 20 year employee at Wilco Farmers and a multi-year cookoff winner for his amazing butt burning chili. With his passing others may now have a chance to win, though it is unlikely.

When not working hard, Mike could be found telling dad jokes, badgering Beaver fans, cheering for Duck football, fishing, sweeping his cat Gracie (yes sweeping), rattling the windows with his cannons, and loving his family.

Mike was an exceptional father to his only daughter, Megan Walker and son-in-law Mitch. His grandchildren Addalyn, Emilynn, and Elijah will miss pulling his finger.

Mike also leaves behind his mother, Darla Allender, sister Julie Clarkson and husband Tom along with their two children Erin Davis and Adam Clarkson. Sister Wendy Fabis and husband Joe and their daughter Brianne Salvati. Mike also has one great niece and great nephew. He was preceeded in death by his father Richard Allender and long time girlfriend Shelly Hulsey.

Mike will be forever missed and hold a special spot in the heart of those who knew him.

Celebration of life will be held September 11, from 1:00pm to 3:30pm at 1624 Manzanita St. Keizer, OR. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Face masks strongly encouraged. "Beaver fans will not be allowed in without a successful field goal".

In lieu of flowers please donate to the go fund me https://gofund.me/8a105282 to help with the burden of costs.
