Maryjane (Marty) McHugh, 96, of Keizer, Oregon, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024.

She was born on January 2, 1928 and raised in Beaverton, Oregon. Marty was the daughter of Frank and Irene Martyn and sister of LaRay and Stanley. She attended the University of Oregon, where she rushed as a GDI (God Damn Independent). She moved back to Portland where she met her husband, Bob McHugh, who eventually convinced her to marry him. They married September 6, 1952 and moved to Eugene where they welcomed children Pam, Pat, Peggy, Paula and Paul. They moved to Keizer, Oregon where Tim and Teri joined the clan.

Marty was a devoted mother and grandmother. She also worked alongside her husband at his accounting firm for many years and helped care for her grandchildren. Marty loved yearly family trips to Big Lake, Duck football (she attended games until age 95), watching the Trail Blazers with family, and gardening. She was a talented cook and seamstress, an avid reader, a loyal friend, and cherished spending time with her family.

Marty was predeceased by her husband Bob and son Pat. She is survived by her daughters Pam McHugh, Peggy Marquardt (Mike), Paula Beskow (Neil), and Teri Reynolds (Arron) and her sons Paul McHugh (Theresa) and Tim McHugh. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday September 27, 2024 at 10:30 am at St Edward Catholic Church, Keizer, Oregon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Special Olympics or American Cancer Society.
