Larrie Ann was a passionate woman with characteristics that matched! She was spirited about all her pursuits, strong in her commitments, and fun loving with her family and friends! From a young age, she learned what strength was, and spent her life bravely living with Type 1 Diabetes. This translated into a fierce commitment to her health and wellness. She was an avid competitive tennis player, golfer, and ½ marathon walker, and she was committed to her routine at the gym. She enjoyed all things outdoors and was passionate about snow shoeing, biking, and sailing. Being health-conscious, she was a chef quality cook and enjoyed good food and fine restaurants. An extreme eye for beauty, she always dressed gorgeously, and kept a stunning home and garden.
Larrie Ann, with her husband Gordy at her side, enjoyed a life full of adventure and travels. One of her most favorite things to do was to go to Crosswater, where she and her husband had a beautiful second home. Her world was also shared with her beloved companion Maggie Mae – her magnificent English Cream Retriever, who was always by her side.
Larrie Ann was a matriarch and led her family in gatherings and devotion. She raised her three daughters, and her granddaughter Megan with great dedication. With her love of family, she always brought everyone together and hosted many a grand gathering with great food, good wine, and lots of laughter. Her extended family enjoyed all her consistent efforts to bring everyone together, be it in person or otherwise. This also extended to her close circle of wonderful friends.
Larrie Ann came from a large family and is survived by her siblings Patricia Weinsheimer, Diane Weinsheimer and James Weinsheimer. She is pre-deceased by her siblings Catherine Morris, and Julial Brandolino, and her much loved parents, Lawrence and Rosemary Weinsheimer. She has six wonderful grandchildren, Ronald Van Stone, Jr., Michael Van Stone, Megan Dubenko, Kealii Paaluhi, Kaya Borquez and Maurice Borquez. She has two adorable great-grandchildren Jayden Massie, and Weston Van Stone, and a third on the way. She has many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her close sisters-in-law Carole Reinwald and Karen Belding.
Larrie Ann’s family would like to extend a very special recognition to the incredible and devoted team of her three caregivers. Dementia is an extremely difficult disease, and her family is overwhelmed with appreciation to the team of loving caregivers, and to the compassion of Hospice, that supported her life’s final journey in grace, dignity, and comfort.
Larrie Ann will be deeply missed and always loved. Her family will be having a Celebration of Life on Sunday June 6, 2021 from 1-5 PM. Please RSVP by emailing [email protected]
