John Lawrence Novacek Jr

John L. Novacek Jr. passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026 in Keizer, Oregon.

He was born on July 16, 1946, in Westminster, California, to John L. Novacek and Gretchen Willamena Rockenfeller.

John proudly served in the United States Army and later worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing, golfing, and hunting-simple things that brought him happiness and allowed him to enjoy the outdoors.

John was a very caring, quiet, and reserved man. Although he could be a man of few words, he had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make you laugh. He had a kind heart and cared deeply for his family. To those who knew him best, he was simply the best brother ever!

John was preceded in death by his parents, his half-sister Karen, and his beloved niece Debbie Tippets.

He is survived by his sister, Hannah Bishop of Salem, Oregon; his nieces, Mary Anne Jacobson of Sequim, Washington, Cheryll Hamilton of Huntington Beach, California, and Terry Web of Huntington Beach, California; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

John will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
