Surrounded by his loving family, Duane passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on September 30, 2020.
Born in Hayward, California to Reynold and Rose Soto, he was the youngest of three siblings.
Duane moved to Keizer with his wife and family in 1970. After retiring from the State of Oregon, he established his Real Estate Office and enjoyed a successful career as a Real Estate Broker until 2008.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing, but his passion was being involved in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives. From being a Swim Dad to being a cheerleader at soccer, softball, basketball, and volleyball games, he was always present. He was the official “call-to” chauffeur transporting kids to and from school, practices and games.
Duane will be dearly missed and always remembered for his gregarious nature, contagious smile, kindness to anyone in need and immense love for his family.
Duane is survived by his wife Alice, children Kristin Soto (Keizer), Brad Soto (Bend), Jennifer Soto (Keizer) and grandchildren Sidney Obyedkov (Nikita, Salem) and Amya Garcia (Keizer).
The family is planning a Celebration of Life for a later date.
